Can't access Frontier Silicon

Postby distressedsteve » Sat Dec 07, 2013 11:48 am

This morning I can't even access the Frontier Silicon website, let alone listen to any of my Favourites ! Anyone else seeing this problem ?
I've read that FS is reliable, that's not what I'm experiencing :(

I have also noticed this problem, rather irritating to say the least. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly, otherwise we are left with rather expensive DAB only radios....

Exactly my thoughts.
Thanks for posting, at least I now know it's not just me.

This also happened last year as well, although not as bad, now we can't even access the site and email them directly. All we can do is contact Roberts and hope, but as it is the weekend, I can't see much happening before Monday.

Radio's station list is working this morning at 9am in Germany, but still impossible to generate a registry code.

When I try to access the FS website this morning (UK) I get messages similar to this:

Code: Select all

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.0.67-community-nt]You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

/setupapp/fs/asp/AspFunctions/AuthFuncs.asp, line 55

but the messages keep changing. Maybe they are in the process of trying to fix the problem.
Still can't listen to any Internet radio stations.

Yes, I can now access my Favourites on my radio but I'm still getting intermittent problems on the FS website, I'll give it a few hours to sort itself out and then try again.

Still obviously lots of fiddling going on at the FS end. Not all stations are being displayed on my radio, though they do show up online. Site is also very slow.
Anyway, am very happy that the IR radio is not longer dead. Whenever anything like this happens, one always wonders whether or not the the whole platform has finally been abondoned.
