Evoke Flow and a/v receiver.

Postby Ramondol » Mon Dec 27, 2010 12:08 pm

Hi,

I want to connect my radio Pure Evoke to the receiver A/V Sony 810, but if I connect it throw the “line out” at two cables “rca” to one of the free entrance, the sound is too down :( , and I have to turn up a lot the sound of the receiver, moreover, the volume changes in order with the volume control of the radio  .........is it normal.............there is someone that have it connect to a receiver?

Regards.

Hi

The Evoke Flow output is variable (called a 'Stereo Out' not a 'Line Out'). You can read more about how to use it here: http://support.pure.com/kb_article.php? ... -OGVN-8765

A headphone output is an amplified output and carries much higher gain at high volumes than a conventionally 'Line Out'. The Stereo out - although variable - matches conventional line out level conditions at near max, so you have no risk of overloading any auxiliary in you may be sending the signal to.

Follow the advice in the support note and mute the radio amp with a headphone jack plugged in to the headphone socket. That way you have free reign over the line volume of the 'Stereo Out' socket.
