Re: Android 'remote' playing on 83i

I have found a better player now:

BubbleUPNP - worth buying - very flexible. I use it on my HTC Desire and on my Nexus 7.

Re: New internet radio models from Roberts.

My biggest complaint with the Roberts 83i is that you cannot turn the display off completely, or even dim it easily. I won't buy another one or recommend it wholeheartedly until this is sorted out. The latest user guides indicate this remains a problem for all their internet radios. I totally agree...

Re: New firmware 16/11/12

I just applied the update for the Stream 83i. Can't say as I could see anything immediately different. If I had a wish list it would be to able to customise Last FM favourite which I never use to toggle the brightness of the display without having to shuffle through the menus in the dark!. Let's hop...

Re: Android 'remote' playing on 83i

Hi Steve, I tried this player (and several others) and then eventually purchased it. I knew when I bought it that it had some limitations. I live with them, but I have thought about writing to the author and telling them about the issues. Pros: 1. It actually works 2. I can select my Windows 7 lapto...

Tips for your using your USB port with memory stick & mobile

Hi all, I use a memory stick and my mobile phone (HTC Desire) to play music from but there are two problems with this arrangement: 1. Traditional USB sticks poke out too and could be snapped off 2. USB cables for phones tend to be rather stiff and also stick out Here are some workable solutions that...

lol, I confess I did use that last night!. I had to tilt the remote though, and then had to turn the display back down again as it was just too bright!

Re: Time auto-update doesn't

I have the same problem with the time. It's really annoying. Everytime I power the unit off at the mains I lose the time and it never resets itself.

Is there any news on a firmware update to correct bugs like this ?.

Is anyone already in touch with Roberts on this one ?

Cheers,

Pete.
